  • What's the difference between float and safety glass?

Float Glass: Float glass, when broken, can pose significant danger as it shatters into large, sharp pieces.

Safety Glass 1: Laminated glass consists of two sheets of glass with a plastic laminate layer bonded between them, ensuring that if it breaks, it just cracks and remains intact rather than shattering.

Safety Glass 2: Toughened glass undergoes a heat treatment process, making it more resistant to breakage than regular glass. In the event of breakage, toughened glass fractures into small, granular pieces, minimizing the risk of injury.

  • Do I have to remove the old glass?

No, we advise against removing the old glass yourself as it can be extremely sharp and hazardous. Our experienced glaziers come fully equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves and safety goggles, in addition to brooms and vacuums in their trucks, to safely clean up and dispose of the broken glass for you. Your safety is our priority, so you can rely on us to handle the entire process efficiently and securely.

  • Do you accept all major credit cards, i.e., AmEx, MasterCard and Visa?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard, and Visa. Please note that there is a 1.5% surcharge for credit card payments.

  • Why can’t you cut a hole in my existing glass to install a dog or cat door?

Attempting to cut a hole in regular float glass would result in it breaking due to its lack of strength. To ensure compliance with current Australian Standards and prioritize the safety of both you and your pets, we exclusively use toughened glass. Toughened glass is custom-cut to your specifications, with the hole precisely cut and then heat-treated to reinforce the glass, making it suitable for the installation of a pet door.

  • Can you remove scratches or chips from glass?

Unfortunately, once glass is scratched or chipped, it cannot be simply repaired. The entire panel would need to be replaced with a new one. If you’re interested in getting a free quote for glass replacement, please don’t hesitate to contact our friendly staff on 0418 881 551
